Roadburn is beyond thrilled to announce JOHN GARCIA plays Kyuss at Roadburn Festival 2010.

Posted on Friday, January 22nd, 2010
Lovingly pinched from The Obelisk: Despite the fun-loving feel of the music — like retro ‘60s pop rock gone warm fuzz with an ear for well-placed solos and grooves — the lyrics and themes of Stockholm five-piece Dexter Jones’ Circus Orchestra’s third album, If Light Can’t Save Us, I Know ...read more
Album of the day: Sasquatch – III
Posted on Wednesday, January 20th, 2010
Lovingly pinched from The Obelisk: III, Los Angeles rockers Sasquatch’s appropriately-titled third album for Small Stone, is like one of those girls. We all know those girls. You see them out and about whenever you’re brave enough to leave the house, and those girls know they’re super hot, and they ...read more
Album of the day: Freedom Hawk – Freedom Hawk
Posted on Monday, January 4th, 2010
Lovingly pinched from The Obelisk: Freedom Hawk, out of Tidewater, Virginia, are a four-piece on a mission geared toward ’90s stoner space with just a touch of southern flair. Lovingly pinched from The Obelisk: Rare are the times in my life where the phrase, “Fuck yeah, Dire Straits!” has crossed my lips. In fact, I can only think of one instance, and that was the first time I heard the uber-fuzz guitar tone on ‘Dirty Witch’, the third of ...read more

Album of the Day: Yawning Sons – Ceremony to the Sunset
Posted on Thursday, December 17th, 2009
Lovingly pinched from The Obelisk: You can make whatever sound comparisons or analogies you want, to my ears, the debut from Yawning Sons is principally two things. First: mesmerizing. Second: warm. The band is end result of a fortunate ocean-crossing collaboration between Californian desert rock legend Gary Arce of Yawning ...read more
