Ghost – Roadburn 2011: Qualitly Fan Filmed Video Footage On Line!
Posted on Tuesday, May 24th, 2011
Last month, Ghost delighted an unsuspecting crowd of new devotees with a phantasmal performance at the 2011 Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, Holland. The incorporeal beings were captured by a lucky attendee who – by posting the footage online – spreads the sect’s sacrilegious scripture to new and nescient minds across the globe. Stop what you’re doing and witness Ghost as they administer the ghastly grooves of ‘Con Clavi Con Dio’, ‘Elizabeth’, ‘Prime Mover’, ‘Genesis’, ‘Ritual’, and ‘Stand by Him.’

Posted on Sunday, May 15th, 2011
Lovingly pinched from Uber Rock: Leeds’ finest retro rockers Gentleman’s Pistols will be familiar to those who frequent sweaty rock bars and clubs around the country, as they’ve been a welcome fixture on that circuit for a few years now. A self-acknowledged “return to form” for the band, The ...read more

Posted on Sunday, March 13th, 2011
Praise for Blood Ceremony‘s Living With The Ancients from San Francisco’s aQuarius Records: This Canadian doom-psych-prog-metal band’s 2008 debut was a big fave ’round here, we likened their female-fronted n’ flutey, Hammond organ driven occult heaviness to “Electric Wizard given a medieval, madrigal makeover” and compared ‘em to a hypothetical ...read more

Album of the day: Steel Mill – Jewels Of The Forest (Green Eyed God Plus…)
Posted on Sunday, March 6th, 2011
Lovingly pinched from The Music Fix: Like every scene, the 70s British prog rock movement had its bands that came and went without creating a ripple – some justifiably, some inexplicably – and unfortunately Steel Mill were one such victim. Jewels Of The Forest (Green Eyed God Plus…) neatly brings ...read more
