Welcome To Weirdo Canyon: Team Rock’s Incredible Roadburn 2016 Mini-Documentary
This year at Roadburn, Phil Wallis was filming for TeamRock and really captured what Roadburn is all about! He did an amazing job and included Lee Dorrian, Neurosis, Paradise Lost, Becky Cloonan and more when interviewing people for this short film.
Watching this was emotional; it brings back happy memories for us, and makes us feel excited about what next year will bring. Perhaps you’ll even spot yourself in the background?

Roadburn 2016: The Emotional Connection Has Never Been Stronger
Roadburn 2016 was the first edition to take place in the new and improved 013 venue. We were overwhelmed by how well the line up came together, how many of you were supportive and bought tickets – we knew it was going to be a great edition before it started but we weren’t quite prepared for what an emotional journey it would be.
It was so touching to see so many of the audience connect so intensely with the bands performing, and also with each other. The atmosphere this created led to some incredibly emotional, passionate and heartfelt performances across all the stages, and bands of all levels.
We have seen musicians and audience alike, moved to tears, overwhelmed with the impact of the unique community that is Roadburn. Even first timers to the festival were embraced and swept along as part of the Roadburn family. The emotional connection has never been stronger and made us feel so proud to share this with you – attendees, staff, and bands. This is what the festival means to us.
We want to thank all of you for being part of a Roadburn that will linger in our minds for a long time to come. We have made great memories, and are grateful to have shared this experience with each of you. Your support is always noticed, appreciated and never taken for granted.
With this being the first Roadburn in the new 013 venue, and having so many more people to accommodate, we have had to adapt somewhat. We know there were some people frustrated by the queues, and your comments have been noted and will be taken into consideration. We want you to feel free to give us feedback – the attendees are at the heart of this festival, afterall!
Roadburn 2017 will take place April 20-23, 2017 – at the 013 venue, in Tilburg, The Netherlands. We’ll see you there.
