EDITION S U M M E R 2 0 0 6 > NEW RELEASES
First off: I want to welcome Dave E Destruction to the Roadburn crew. It took us
quite a while, but, finally, the postponed Summer 2006 review section is on line!
Not suprisingly that it took us quite a while to come up with this long overdue Summer
2006 edition. We got flooded with tons of albums and demos -all submitted for a review
or submissions for the 12th Roadburn Festival. In fact: we get so much submissions now-a-days that
it's even impossible to keep up with all the releases.
Unfortunately, it was impossible to write reviews for a million submissions [give or take a few], so we hand
picked a selection of the albums we liked. However, we still gonna review some of the albums we got!
Looking ahead to 2007, we promise to bring you more articles written by the bands themselves, more
coverage of the kinds of music we love, and of course, more of the sporadic and unpredictable
Roadburn reviews. We will do our best to get you timely reviews, but time constraints, the 12th Roadburn Festival
and work commitments will probably cause us to continue our somewhat
unpredictable schedule.
Please note: we shall no longer be doing regular scheduled reviews just because we get a
promotional copy. We still will be doing reviews but only to go over the albums that have a
significant impact on the scene or in our lives. When we get a really exciting record, we
won't just dash off a simple opinion of it, instead we'll seek out
the band to write a full length on the making of the album, or to find out how they
feel about it, or how they came up with it.
