Hello friends, welcome to the Roadburn Festival.

This is a gathering of like minded bands and fans from around the world, joined together by a love of music. This is a celebration of tube-driven distortion and crackling electric guitars, a raising of musical consciousness and brotherly and sisterly love, a communion with THEE MIGHTY RIFF, a time and place to get high en mass and bask in the heaviness.

Since 1999 we at Roadburn have emphasized the cutting edge, honored the forefathers, and worshipped the riff. The 2008 Festival is a perfect reflection of what we have always been about.

The Afterburner

The Glasspack will be headlining the SOLD OUT 2008 Roadburn Festival Afterburner on Sunday, April 20th, 2008 [Doors: 15.00hrs - Start: 16.00hrs]. This is a one-off first time ever gig in Europe just for Roadburn and it's fans of the Glasspack.

The band will not be touring Europe on this trip but with the landing in Holland, folks are sure to have them back for a tour eventually. So go show your support for the Glasspack and let people know you want them to tour Europe by attending the festival and screaming "Glasspack come back" over and over throughout their set.

The Glasspack

"The Glasspack has always been about creating a primal, unholy wall of sound built around Dirty Dave Johnson`s yowling, distorted guitar pyrotechnics" - Jefferey Lee Puckett [Courier-Journal, Louisville].

Also on the bill are Djzenghis Khan, Sourvein, Beehoover, Graveyard & Repomen.

Out of the San Francisco fog appears... Djzenghis Khan!!! Three brothers from three disturbed regions of the continent joined together under ridiculous circumstances and set forth to conquer the world and reign supreme as the most totally badass rock trio of heavy 70's power!

Emerging from the deepest forests of Dorset, England, Ramesses formed in 2003 when ex-Electric Wizard drummer Mark Greening and guitarist Tim Bagshaw hooked up with bassist Adam Richardson.
RAMESSES original and devastating sound embodies torrential riffing, freeform psychedelic jams and enigmatic spells. Word on the streets is that RAMESSES are slaying audiences everywhere, and we expect them to take it to another level at Roadburn.

Ramesses

Beehoover, a two-piece bass / drums / vocals riff machine! "I found Behoover's The Sun Behind The Dustbin hard to fathom on first listen – weird art rock by two crazy Germans... but the more I listened the more it grew on me –to the point where I have it on all the time. It is a gorgeous piece of work that will no doubt never get the credit it deserves, but will remain a favourite of mine for a long, long time.." - Pete Crowther [Ninehertz.co.uk].

Sweden's Graveyard formed in November 2006 with the intention of creating 'heavy psychedelic 70's hardrock' influenced by the likes of Cream, Leaf Hound and Blue Cheer. Since then the band recorded their first two songs, played a couple of shows, and signed with Transubstans Records & TeePee Records! With their self titled debut album under their belt [recorded by Don Ahlsterberg, who also procduced The Soundtrack of our Lives & International Noise Conspiracy], Graveyard will establish themselves as one of the most exciting bands on the contemporary heavy 70's scene, alongside Witchcraft and Abramis Brama to name but a few.

Graveyard

Repomen, bass heavy stonerrock from Eindhoven Rockcity. Dealers in decibels [featuring Peter Pan Speedrock frontman Peter]. Mudslinging from the gut to the head. Always on the lookout for that ultimate riff and a punchin' groove.

Please note: David Tibet's day-long event and the Roadburn Afterburner are two different events. The 013 venue will be divided into two different venues -- the main hall for David's event, and the Green Room & Bat Cave for the Afterburner. Due the clossed corridors at the 013 venue, both events can be held separately without any distraction to eachother, and will run simultaniously.
