Roadburn 2016: Day Posters By Becky Cloonan Revealed

Posted on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2015

As well as creating our overall festival poster, renowned comic book artist, Becky Cloonan, has also created individual posters for each day of Roadburn. Below are the four posters that Becky has made for us (and laid out by Costin Chioreanu).

She comments: “As an illustrator and cartoonist I love to tell stories, so I used the day posters to hint at a bigger picture than what I initially drew. Hopefully people enjoy reading into these as much as I enjoyed drawing them.”

Roadburn Festival takes place between 14 – 17 April 2016 at the 013 venue, in Tilburg, The Netherlands. Tickets are on sale! Day tickets for Thursday, Friday and Saturday available,  Thursday January 7.

Album of the Day: Gnaw Their Tongues – Abyss of Longing Throats

Posted on Friday, September 11th, 2015

Lovingly pinched from Heathen Harvest: Gnaw Their Tongues have delivered another hauntingly mechanized full-length album which will leave a range of effects on all listeners, varying from trembling night terrors, violent fantasies, and an overall coating of uncomfortableness. Mories, the solo conspirator behind Gnaw Their Tongues, holds a huge passion […]

Album of the Day: My Dying Bride – Feel The Misery

Posted on Thursday, September 10th, 2015

Lovingly pinched from The Sleeping Shaman: Fans of My Dying Bride know what to expect – with nearly 25 years of consistently stellar material, it’s reasonable to think that their latest epic dirge, Feel The Misery would easily meet expectations if not outright exceed them; they’ve rewritten the history of […]

Album of the Day: Tangled Thoughts Of Leaving – Yield To Despair

Posted on Wednesday, September 9th, 2015

Lovingly pinched from Ave Noctum: Like a continuation from something unheard, Tangled Thoughts Of Leaving plunge into immediate doom with crushed bass and drums at a death march; any introduction for the uninitiated is left to imagery from the album art and title, Yield To Despair. And yield we must […]

Album of the Day: Behold! The Monolith – Architects of the Void

Posted on Tuesday, September 8th, 2015

Lovingly pinched from Echoes And Dust: There’s no getting away with it really. Heavy metal and all its sub-genres is hardly the most subtle of things and for every band who attempts something a bit more delicate, there will be ten bands who bludgeon it back down with oversized riffs […]

Album of the day: Khemmis – Absolution

Posted on Monday, September 7th, 2015

Lovingly pinched from Invisible Oranges: There has been a deluge of upstart doom bands over the last decade, some of them great (Kongh, Pallbearer, Orchid) and many others not so much (seriously, there are way too many to name). The oversaturation point for low and slow approaches quickly, so new […]

Album of the day: Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats – The Night Creeper

Posted on Friday, September 4th, 2015

Lovingly pinched from The Obelisk: Looking at the ascendancy of the UK’s Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats (often stylized with a lowercase ‘d’ on the last word) over the last half-decade is like staring into the abyss of our own worst impulses, and it seems unlikely the band would have […]
