Nachtmystium: New Album In The Works; Nachtmystium / Murmur Split 7″ EP Officially Released via Inferna Profundus Records
Posted on Thursday, December 15th, 2011
Nachtmystium are working on a new album, according to Blake Judd: “The new Nachtmystium is coming together nicely. Jamming Sanford Parker’s offerings for the song pool currently. And who said an engineer couldn’t write a song? My shit’s coming together nicely, lyrics and music-wise. Drew and Charlie are masters of their craft. It’s going to rule. I’m psyched. 20 days in the studio, starting in February… then we embark back out on the road to SXSW, then Roadburn, then a month in Europe, and then a month or more here in the US I’m sure….”
The Nachtmystium / Murmur split 7″ EP is officially released on Inferna Profundus Records, Lithuania. “Our track is a total return to form, harking back to the writing styles of “Demise” and “Instinct: Decay”, says Blake Judd: “This is a good sneak peak of whats to come on our next full-length.”

Posted on Saturday, December 10th, 2011
This list is made up of my personal picks, not the results of the Readers Poll, which is ongoing. It was an impossible task to keep up with everything that came out this year. I’ll say flat out that I didn’t. There are records that I just didn’t get to ...read more
Album of the Day: Can – Tago Mago (40th Anniversary Edition)
Posted on Saturday, December 10th, 2011
Lovingly pinched from Pitchfork: Can have long been one of those bands that are more talked about than heard. They were enormously influential on certain kinds of forward-thinking rock artists (their fingerprints are all over Radiohead and the Flaming Lips, not to mention more more recent underground acts like Woods ...read more
