The new Altar Of Plagues album Mammal is so bloody good. Damn! For the lonesome nostalgic in each of us these Irish lads offer the best cure sometimes. It’s almost not fair to see how easily they can get under your skin.

A shift has taken place in black metal. This third and maybe last wave really is a legit thing. Thousands of people who started with Burzum and still love it to this day can’t be wrong – no matter how much the Darkthrone or the Funeral Mist puritan in you is trying to fight it, this is a legit thing. Everyone ultimately makes his own choice and you can evolve and search for new meanings, or stay where you are comfortable. And because everyone likes to be dramatic…who has claim? None have claim. ALL have claim.
