Bassist Scott Reeder (Goatsnake, The Obsessed, Kyuss) will fill in for Nick Oliveri at the following Kyuss Lives! shows:
Aug. 02 – Lokerse Feesten – Lokeren, Belgium
Aug. 03 – FZW – Dortmund, Germany
Aug. 04 – Stadtpark – Hamburg, Germany
Aug. 05 – Wacken Open Air – Wacken, Germany
Kyuss Lives! is the project featuring three-quarters of Kyuss, the influential American stoner roc k /metal band, originally from Palm Desert, California: bassist Nick Oliveri, drummer Brant Bjork and singer John Garcia along with guitarist Bruno Fevery, who most recently played with Garcia in the Garcia Plays Kyuss project.
Commented Reeder on his Facebook page: “So, yeah… got a call yesterday…. leaving tomorrow to temporarily fill in on a quick trip to Europe for four gigs with John, Brant, and Bruno Fevery. Got two hours of music to brush up on today, laundry, bass surgery, etc. Crazy. Gonna be fun!”
Oliveri was arrested on July 12 in Hollywood, California for suspicion of domestic violence after a five-hour standoff with police.
