Øresund Space Collective have just released a new live-album, Live at Roadburn 2010, via their own label, Space Rock Productions.
“Øresund Space Collective was very honoured to get to open the Roadburn Festival on April 15th 2010, with the first set in the Bat Cave”, says OSC’s Scott Heller aka Dr. Space, “The festival had some trouble getting the people in fast enough so it was not that crowded when we started but by 20 mins into the concert it was totally packed with enthusiastic psychedelic rock fans.”
“As we play totally improvised music, one never knows what will be captured but on this day, we came out strong and played an amazing concert. The artwork and song titles are inspired by the fact that the volcano in Iceland exploded the day before this gig and caused chaos. Many bands could not get to the festival and we were stuck in Holland for two extra days with no way to get back home.”
“Like in the classic days of the 70s it is always a dream to release a double live gatefold vinyl record and here it is! One piece in the middle of the concert would not fit with the length of LP sides so in order to get the highest quality sound, this was left off the vinyl record. If we ever release this on CD, you will be able to hear the entire concert. For now you can still hear this piece streaming at the VPRO!”
Øresund Space Collective – Live at Roadburn 2010 is released in only 500 copies, and the tracklist is as follows:
1.Roadburn Jam
2.Reintroduce the snakes to Ireland
3.Volcanoes and Ash
