We’re back home now, and starting to recover from the festival. We hope that all of you were, or are, able to get back without too much trouble, and want to thank all of you for making it to the festival and for sticking with us when we had so many problems to deal with. We are sorry if (like us) you didn’t get to see a band you were looking forward too, but we are so pleased that the special Roadburn vibe remained, and that everyone – bands and fans alike – had such a good time. It really brought it home to us how Roadburn is not only about the great bands that play – the people who come here every year to hear the music and have a good time are just as important, and your support inspired us to keep working to find solutions to some completely unprecedented challenges.
We’ll need a little more time to fully recover after such an eventful weekend, but as soon as we do we’ll be updating the website with festival reports and starting work on the audio streams. Thanks again for making Roadburn 2010 one of the best ever, against all the odds. Special thanks to all of the bands who played, some of whom had to go to extreme lengths just to make it to the festival, and who seemed to inspire each other to put in some truly memorable performances. This has been a Roadburn that all of us will remember for a very long time.
Walter on behalf of Jurgen and Roadburn
p.s. We hope to see you all again at next years Roadburn, April 14 – 17, 2011, 013 venue & Midi Theatre, Tilburg – Holland.

@roadburnfest I had lots of fun. thanx to Goatsnake for example
My first roadburn was 2010. It wont be the last.
While i wasnt alone in this, i was one of perhaps 2 dozen austraians who attended and perhaps one of 1 dozen who flew oit specifically for roadburn.
We all faced huge cost in coming to the festival, and while the amount invested in the trip could be one reason forcing us to enjoy it, if it were actually poorly executed, if the bands were actually crappy or performed poorly, if the town did not come to the party so willingly it would have made it difficult to appreciate and we certainly wouldnt consider coming back.
Three of my fellow aussies who did travel specifically for the festival said unequivocably that they would be back. You guys should be hugely proud.
As I implied earlier, while the congratulations for the event have to go to you guys directly, cafe polly magoo, cafe stoffel, safari park, and numerous other local businesses opened early, opened sunday, made special menus, accomodated wierd disoriented and demanding foreigners at all hours without a word of complaint.
So in the end, walter and jurgens, guys who were employed or volunteered at roadburn, the local businesses who supported the event so well. THANK YOU ALL. You havnt seen the last of me and im not alone.
thanks for posting my picture
has been a great and awesome festival!
Thanks for all!
