We’re proud to announce a new addition to this year’s Afterburner event. Titled “Roadburn Festival Introduces”, the idea is to showcase some promising, up-and-coming Dutch bands in the psychedelic realm. Taking place at the Bat Cave stage, these bands will have the opportunity to play an intimate show and reach the international Roadburn community.
At Roadburn Festival Introduces, this year’s choices are Capital Sentimental and Oceana Company, as we feel they have something unique and interesting to offer the Roadburn audience. Capital Sentimental take the best elements of Hawkwind and Ozric Tentacles and blend it with a bluesy, experimental edge a la Captain Beefheart. Oceana Company find a way to meld together prog rock, psychedelica and post rock, taking their listeners on an epic aural journey into the astral planes.
