Saint Vitus are one of a very select few bands who can genuinely lay claim to having created a whole scene. Along with Pentagram, Candlemass and Trouble, St. Vitus’s Sabbath inspired albums in the 1980s were a blueprint for a legion of other doom metal bands who followed, many of who will be appearing on the same stage at this years’ Roadburn. Paul McWiliams caught up with guitarist Dave Chandler and bassist Mark Adams to ask them how it feels to be taking their rightful place at the top of the bill.
