Stone Axe album out on Roadburn Records

ROADBURN RECORDS is a label affiliated with the Roadburn Festival & website, and we’re very pleased to present our latest release, Stone Axe – “S/T” [LP/CD].

Stone Axe is Mos Generator’s frontman T. Dallas Reed together with Dru Brinkerhoff on vocals. After their first 7″ released through Roadburn Records last year it is now time for a worthy follow-up.

Stone Axe is focused on recreating the classic rock sound of the early 70s. We’re talking about those English bands that staggered out of the pubs and defined a genre by playing from the heart. There is even a flinch of early AC/DC in there!

If Mos Generator’s “Godhand Iommi” is a tribute to the Sabbath guitarist, Riders of the Night pays homage to Free. The results are impeccable. Their cover of Cream’s SWLABR is faithfully spot-on, which will please you if youre a fan of the band.

There is 3 versions of the album: gold vinyl including silkcreened poster, blue vinyl and black vinyl.The vinyl also has a special vinyl mix and included one other song then the cd-version. Shine on is not on the cd, Return of the Worm is not on the vinyl.
